Available Water Determinations Register

The Water Management Act 2000 requires a register of Available Water Determination's (AWD) to be made publicly available to water users. The Register will enable users to access information on the volume of water available for extraction determined by the Minister 's AWD under section 59 of the act. AWD's are made for each Access Licence category in each water source and are generally made at the start of a water year.

AWD's are expressed as a percentage of the share component where share is expressed as a volume on the licence or as a volume per unit share where the licence share is expressed in unit shares.
